Formed in 2005 by Steve and Val Gibson Sunderland Scuba Centre has gone from strength to strength, awarded Oceanics Silver Dealer Award in December 2005. Sunderland Scuba Centre has continued to grow, teaching over 400 people to dive in 2005/6, opening an On-line Scuba Equipment shop not only for kit but also enabling people to book their diving courses on-line too. Sunderland Scuba Centre were awarded Oceanics Gold Dealer Award and Dealer of the year Award for consistantly high standards of service in 2006 and Suunto awarded us Servicing status for all Suunto Computers on site. In 2007 Sunderland Scuba Centre were Awarded 5 Star Status By PADI for consistantly high standards in teaching PADI Diving Courses and offering high standards of service and equipment to divers and non divers alike, in 2008 they were awarded IDC status which means Sunderland Scuba Centre is the only Dive Centre in Sunderland teaching students up to Instructor level and beyond. Sunderland Scuba Centres' staff are more than willing to offer all the information and take all the time required for people to learn to dive and purchase the right equipment at a very competitive level of price, all of Sunderland Scuba Centres' Instructors and Divemasters have up to date knowledge of dive equipment and all carry Police clearance for teaching children and vulnerable persons.
