Formed in 2005 by Steve and Val Gibson Sunderland Scuba Centre has gone from strength to strength, awarded Oceanics Silver Dealer Award in December 2005. Sunderland Scuba Centre has continued to grow, teaching over 500 people to dive in 2005/6, opening an On-line Scuba Equipment shop not only for kit but also enabling people to book their diving courses on-line too. Sunderland Scuba Centre have been appointed an Authorised Apeks, Oceanic, Atomic, service agent and supplier. Sunderland Scuba Centre were awarded Oceanics Gold Dealer Award and Dealer of the year Award for consistantly high standards of service in 2006, 2007 brought another gold dealer award and 2008 yet another gold dealer award, Suunto awarded us Servicing status for all Suunto Computers in 2007 enabling us to service on site most of the Suunto range. Sunderland Scuba Centre were Awarded 5 Star Status By PADI for consistantly high standards in teaching PADI Diving Courses and offering high standards of service and equipment to divers and non divers alike, in 2008 they were awarded IDC status which means Sunderland Scuba Centre is the only Dive Centre in Sunderland teaching divers up to Instructor level and beyond. This brings us to 2009 when Sunderland Scuba Centre was awarded the much sought after PADI National Geographic Dive Centre rating enabling not only the basic Open Water course to be taught but stepping up to the National Geographic Diver qualifications. Sunderland Scuba Centre has also welcomed on board Northern Diver equipment in 2009. Sunderland Scuba Centres' staff are more than willing to offer all the information and take all the time required for people to learn to dive and purchase the right equipment at a very competitive level of price, all of Sunderland Scuba Centre's Instructors and Divemasters have up to date knowledge of dive equipment and all carry Police clearance for teaching children and vulnerable persons. Sunderland Scuba Centre also carries full Public and Employer Liability Insurance meaning you can train with confidence and safety.
