Sunderland Scuba Centre is now an approved IDEST Test House (7B) and offers Cylinder Testing and Cleaning for Diving and Airgun Cylinders to IDEST Standards on site. We have 2 qualified IDEST technicians and are offering a fast and reliable cylinder test with a 48 hour turn around on all cylinders.

How often do I need to test my Cylinders??
For scuba cylinders there are two types of testing. One for air rifles.
When do I Have to have a Visual test on a Cylinder?
This is done every 2 ½ years from date of manufacture or the last test.
If this is missed then a hydrostatic test must be done.
When do I have to have a Hydrostatic test on a Cylinder?
This is done every 5 years from the date of manufacture or the last test.
For Air Rifle Cylinders??
These need a hydrostatic test every 5 years from the date of manufacture or last test
These tests are laid down by IDEST and conform to British and European Standards.
We maintain these standards as we are a registered and approved test facility. IDEST 7B
Cylinders for testing can be left at our Sunderland shop in Trimdon Street (Opposite B & Q) between 9.00 am and 6.00pm Monday- Friday, 9.00am and 4 00pm Saturday.
