Fancy Scuba Diving?

Your first experience of Scuba Diving can be the PADI Discover Scuba Diving, this session is for 10 years to adult, for this we give you a brief session in the classroom explaining the basics of Scuba Diving then on to the swimming pool where we assemble your equipment and let you experience and enjoy the sensation that is Scuba Diving, this session usually lasts around 2 hours in total and can be counted towards the PADI Open Water Course.

Children who want to try their hand at diving can enrol on the PADI Bubblemaker dive. This caters for children aged from 8-10 years and includes a pack containing a PADI towel, logbook, stickers and a PADI toy, the session length is much the same as the Discover Scuba.

There are a number of routes you can take to learn to Scuba Dive, the first would be to get on the PADI Scuba Diver Course, this consists of 3 pool sessions along with 3 classroom sessions and 2 Open water dives and gives you a depth rating of 12 metres diving alongside a PADI Pro

You can of course start your diving with the PADI Open Water Course, this course is the basic starter course and consists of 5 classroom sessions, 5 pool sessions and 4 open water dives in a controlled environment, during this course you will learn basic scuba diving skills and theory enabling you to dive to 18 metres with a like qualified person, for children the qualification allows them to dive to 12 metres. Once through the PADI Open Water Course

Another route you can take is to get on the PADI Open Water Referral Course, this course is designed to get all the theory and the pool sessions completed here and that leaves you to do your 4 Open water dives whilst you are on holiday

you can then progress on to the PADI Advanced Open Water Course which helps you to gain more confidence and experience diving on various different dives including Deep, Navigation, Wreck etc. Children from the age of 12 can join the Junior PADI Advanced open Water Course. Once qualified as a PADI Advanced Open Water diver you can then dive to a depth of 30 metres or for children 18 metres.

We teach a whole host of Specialty courses ranging from Deep Diver, Navigation Diver, Drift Diver, Night Diver, Enriched Air Diver, Boat Diver, Drysuit Diver, Multi-Level Diver, National Geographic Diver, Wreck Diver. You may have an interest in Digital Underwater Photograhy or Videography so we also run these courses. During these Specialty Courses we delve into the subject more deeply learning various techniques of diving for the given subject.

The progressive course that follows is the PADI Rescue Diver course, this course is structured to ensure all your skills are up to date and that you are now a competant diver who would be able to assist anyone who is having problems during a dive. we look at the Emergency First Response and teach you first aid techniques to divers and non divers alike, Oxygen Provider courses are also available and during your Rescue Course you will learn how to administer emergency oxygen and provide emergency First Aid both in and out of the water. We also show you the best techniques for handling emergencies in and underwater. From this point you can decide wether you want to go for the coverted Master Scuba Diver rating which is the highest non professional qualification around by completing the Open Water, Advanced Open Water, EFR, Rescue Diver and 5 Specialty courses or you may want to start your PADI Divemaster course, this is the first PADI Professional course.

The Divemaster course is a demanding course which gives you an insight on instruction of diving courses, you will learn to plan dives and logistics of diving together with a high level of diving theory. You will assist an Instructor teaching students various courses both in the pool and in the Open water and be qualified to teach some courses yourself. The PADI Divemaster rating is a very much sought after qualification throughout the world and can lead to careers in the diving industry.

Onwards and upwards you can then move on to PADI Assistant Instructor which builds on the knowledge you have already been taught and focuses on the teaching side with you eventually giving lectures to students and evaluating certain skills during their courses. This course sets you up ready for the PADI Open Water Instructor Course which again builds on your knowledge of theory and diving skills and on passing your exams you are given the PADI OWSI rating.
