The torch is a bargain considering the light output and the battery is cheap to replace (the lead acid type).
Fairly focused and bright beam.
Rugged construction. |
| Weaknesses: |
As the switch doesn't have a guard to protect it from accidentally turning on, the battery needs to be physically disconnected inside when not in use and travelling.
The torch is quite heavy outside the water, and is about 1kg negative underwater.
The bulb is a not-so-common type, if you decide to buy the torch then make sure you also purchase the optional spare bulb. Also, when re-connecting the battery make sure the switch is off, otherwise you can blow the bulb like I did!
The casing is quite large. |

Decent and rugged dive light with good light output for the price, but a bit heavy and bulky, and no switchguard. |
